👉 Beginning in the 2026-2027 school year, Flowery Elementary School will be a school of choice within the Sonoma Valley Unified School District, no longer having its own attendance area. Families interested in having their children attend Flowery will be able to do so by applying through the Intra-District Transfer (IDT) application process. Families will be notified of enrollment in Flowery by the end of March/beginning of April.

📌 Flowery Elementary Enrollment & Sibling Policy

  • Current Flowery Students: Students currently enrolled in grades K–4 do not need to submit an IDT application; they will automatically remain enrolled for the following school year.

  • Incoming Siblings (Grades K–1): If you have a younger child entering kindergarten or 1st grade who wishes to join a sibling already attending Flowery, you must submit an Intra-District Transfer (IDT) application.

Sibling Priority: Siblings of current Flowery students receive priority consideration during the transfer review process.

⚠️ Important: Transitional Kindergarten (TK) & Dual Immersion

Please note that TK at Flowery is NOT part of the Dual Immersion Program. If your child is currently attending TK at Flowery and you wish for them to enter the Dual Immersion Program for Kindergarten, you MUST submit a new Intra-District Transfer (IDT) application during the winter window. Enrollment is not automatic.

K-1 Application Process

1️⃣ Step 1: Register your child in their home school (El Verano or Sassarini)

2️⃣ Step 2: Submit your application through the School of Choice/Intra-District Transfer (IDT) process during our annual winter application window.

  • Window Opens: The first Thursday following Winter Break (January)

  • Window Closes: The last Friday of February

Please Note: IDT forms will be available on this page when the application window opens. Applications received after the February deadline will only be considered on a space-available basis.

3️⃣ Step 3: Indicate your child’s primary language (English or Spanish) on the application to ensure language balance in the classroom. The Dual Immersion Program is committed to educational and linguistic equity by maintaining a classroom balance of 50% native English speakers and 50% native Spanish speakers applications will be reviewed in two groups: Native English speakers and Native Spanish speakers.
