DAC - District Advisory Committee
About This Committee
The District Advisory Committee (DAC) brings families, staff, and district leaders together to provide input on district priorities, Title I programs, and the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP). Serving as the district's Parent Advisory Committee, DAC acts as a representative body of stakeholders who collaborate, gather information, and share updates with their constituents. The committee represents all families—including those of English Learners, foster youth, and students from low-income households—and includes district and site administrators, parents, labor and advisory representatives, students, and community members.
Why Stakeholder Input Matters
In SVUSD, we believe that active stakeholder participation directly helps our students prepare for college and 21st-century careers. Engagement in the LCAP process is not just a legal requirement—it is a shared moral obligation to ensure the success of every student.
The LCAP is a three-year plan outlining our district's goals, services, and investments to meet local priorities. Committees like the DAC play a vital role in this process by helping share our community's story and guiding how programs are designed to meet local needs.
