Hello, this is my 10th year at Adele Harrison and my 17th year as a credentialed teacher (having taught for seven happy years at Elsie Allen High School in Santa Rosa). I grew up in Petaluma, California and attended UC Santa Cruz, where I obtained my B.A. in History as well as in Latin American & Latino Studies in 1999. While in college, I married my boyfriend, who is an immigrant from Mexico, and this year we celebrate 22 years of marriage. I then got my Masters in Teaching degree and Single Subject Social Science BCLAD Credential in 2001 from UCSC. We moved to Sonoma at that point and have lived here ever since. I have two older sons from my husband’s previous relationship who have already blessed us with four grandchildren and I also have two younger sons, who are now twelve and fourteen years-old. I have taught all levels of history from 6th grade to 12th grade and have enjoyed them all, but is has been a dream come true to teach history in Spanish, my other great love. When not teaching, I enjoy reading, traveling, hiking, films, and visiting with family.
