Outdoor Education provides students with a unique opportunity to learn about the natural world, explore ecosystems, work together as a community and enjoy the wonders of nature. Throughout the school year our resourceful teachers take students outdoors to deliver lessons with related content and take advantage of the creek side location of our campus.
Adele also offers a specific Outdoor Ed curriculum enrichment program for 7th graders in the spring, which focuses on experiential education as well as personal growth and development.
Taught by trained naturalists, the 7th Grade Outdoor Ed curriculum broadly encompasses conservation, ecosystems, diversity, energy, eco-cycles, and environmental education. This classroom in nature employs all the senses to deliver important lessons, develop the whole person and awaken in students an appreciation of the environment and the interdependence of all living and non-living things.
